No, I'm not referencing someone's birthday.... I'm talking about Ted & Bonnie's 50th wedding anniversary!
We had a fun but busy time in Durango! After a long day of traveling (Anistynn was pretty good on the flights, although it wasnt as easy as the first go around when she was 3 months old and slept the whole time), we got into town around 5 PM on Thursday, the 9th, and almost immediately went straight to the Bar D for dinner and a show with family and friends. I started to get sick though while there (same thing as that "sugar rush" night you might remember from a previous post... so I guess it wasnt a sugar rush...) and Tony, Anistynn, and I ended up leaving early =( It was probably for the best though because we all fell asleep around 8 PM (Oregon time)! That's early for all 3 of us! I guess we needed it.
On Friday, we went to visit Ashlee (Tony's sister) at work and she was going to let Anistynn and I ride on a horse in a small area. However, there was a big group going out when we arrived so there was only a mule left (she looked a lot like a horse though haha) - so we rode on her (Suzy). Anistynn seemed to enjoy it. I just mainly wanted her to get the riding experience. Then we went to lunch at Francisco's (a must) with friends and family. Then the 3 of us visited one of Tony's friends and we strolled Main and looked in some shops. Then we had a big BBQ at Tony's grandparent's house with lots of people. Anistynn got to meet her new little cousin, Porter (brother to Kemper, her only other cousin)!
We had a wonderful time at Ted & Bonnie's 50th wedding anniversary party on Saturday night! Got to visit with people we know, met a lot of people we didnt (in fact, Tony's aunt's roommate from a long time ago came up to me to tell me she reads my blog and that she was very impressed by it - made my night... so thanks, Julie!), and danced and partied into the night.... until Anistynn got tired ;) Earlier that day, we had lunch at Homeslice (one of my favs), visited my good friend, Rebecca, and picked up some books for Anistynn at Maria's Bookshop.
On Sunday Tony took Anistynn to church and when they got back, we met my friend, Sheena, for lunch at Carvers, hit up the fair (where A had her first ever pony ride - she loved it and it brought tears to this mama's face), went to scope out Ashlee's new apartment, and then went to a BBQ at Ted and Irina's house.
