~ Oaks Park ~

Today we went to Oaks Park.... where the fun never ends! ;) I bet you all have the song stuck in your heads now... heehee. Anyway, we got to go for free courtesy of our life insurance company. We got free hot dogs, chips, and lemonade and free ride bracelets to go on any rides we wanted as many times as we wanted. Since it was just the 3 of us, we had to do Anistynn friendly rides. We went on Up, Up, and Away! - a "hot air balloon" ride that rose high in the sky and spun around. Anistynn loved it! She kept trying to look down to see how high she was... and she kept laughing / smiling - I could tell by her expressions that she had a few stomach drop moments but I think she loved the thrill of it. We went on the Lewis & Clark ride (similar to storybook rides at Disneyland), the Big Pink Slide, the Train, and the Carousel - twice! She loved riding the horses and I'm so so glad! It was such a special moment for me since it was her first time on a carousel. Carousels meant a lot to my grandma and mom (both now passed), and to me. I hope they will mean a lot to Anistynn. I will have to write another post soon about my carousel nostalgia :)

Overall, it was a fun day. Baby A did not cry once and was so happy and excited to be on those rides. I just know she'll love roller coasters when she gets older ;D

Pittock Mansion

Months ago, I bought a Groupon for two admission tickets to the Pittock Mansion. I hadn't been there since I went on an elementary school field trip with my class to check out the home of the late Henry (owner of the Oregonian) and Georgiana Pittock. It is a famous tourist destination in Portland. Tony had never been and I thought it would be a cool place for him to take pictures at. We finally redeemed that voucher and here are some pictures from our adventure. I'll post Tony's in a different post once he's done editing them... but from the pictures below, I prove that I've got some shooting skills too! ;)
