Today we are remembering Aimee, Tony's mom. Today would have been her birthday. She is so very missed, as is evident by her remaining family. All the time I wish I had had more time to get to really know her. I'm glad I got to see her and know her as much as I did. But a loss is a heavy thing and it's tough to deal with, no matter how many days, months, or years pass. I know Tony misses her. I see it most whenever we watch a movie or show that has a scene with someone really sick or dying on a hospital bed. He gets a little choked up. It's hard to see him like that, but then again, I totally understand and get it. As much as it's not something we wanted to happen, we do bond and connect over the loss of our moms.
