Keira's 1st!

Recently another stay at home mom friend of mine and I worked out a plan to do a trade with our girls each week. Amanda is someone I have known for a very long time, since I was little. Actually, my grandparent's best friends, David and Christie, their daughter Sarah was and is Amanda's best friend. So there's the connection haha. Amanda has a beautiful baby girl named Keira. She's 3 months younger than Anistynn (but she's pretty advanced!!) We talk all the time on Facebook but what's crazy is that K and A never officially met until Anistynn's 1st birthday party!! They seemed to get along well right off the bat though, so we took them on a play date a little while later. We hung out on Halloween too, trick or treating with them in their neighborhood. Then we set up a trade - I get Keira once a week and Amanda gets Anistynn once a week. This allows us mamas to get anything we need done or go to appointments, etc without having the littles around to hinder us haha. Plus it gives the girls a play date with each other twice a week. And besides, Amanda's parenting technique and her thought processes are almost exactly like mine HAHA. So I trust her. Anistynn has only ever been watched by family or Mark and Lori (who are basically our second family anyway). So Amanda is the first friend and non-family member to watch her. Big step haha. It's going well though. Keira had some trouble adjusting at first with it because she really hadnt been left with anyone except her grandma... so she was really missing her mama at the beginning. I think Anistynn did pretty well overall though.

Anyway, Anistynn was invited to Keira's 1st birthday party today at JJ Jump (an inflatable playground of sorts). We had a great time. Anistynn loved sliding down the inflatable slides :) Anistynn gave a super cute outfit and 3 packs of yogurt melts to Keira for her birthday. A took away a goodie bag filled with all sorts of things too!

Here's a video and some photos from the event:
