Once again, I've slacked hardcore on the blogging thing. When I first started it, I thought I would be on here all the time, seeing as how writing is an outlet for me. But lo and behold, life snuck up on me. I have been SO busy! Friends, family, work, wedding planning....it takes up more time than you might think ;)
To catch you up to date:
~ We have settled into our home quite nicely and it has certainly grown on us. BUT - we are planning to be out of this particular house by next year. We want to look for a more permanent location. But in the meantime, we are very comfortable here. Good location, safe area, nice neighbors, and a lot of privacy (ironically).
~ Tony is working a LOT. He doesn't mind it but he's always on the lookout for something he'd enjoy more (as we all are, I would think...) but for now, we cant complain because the money is GOOD. The one major drawback is the limited amount of time we get to spend together. He has a lot of work trips that take him overnight and the house feels so big and empty when he's not here. But that's life and in so many ways, we are blessed.
~ I have been taking some time off (as many of you know, my last job sucked the life out of me) - so it was good to have some time to myself, both with Tony and alone time. We took a fabulous vacation to Florida (which started out horribly due to a stupid car rental place) but picked up a couple days in and we had a lot of fun. Since we've been back from that, I was offered a job at the leasing office that rents our town homes and apartments. So I've been working there and picking up little odd jobs like dog-walking and babysitting (which have actually been paying off really nicely and I've met some super nice people along the way). So it's been great to earn a little extra cash to put towards the wedding, which brings me to my next topic...
~ OUR WEDDING IS 2 MONTHS AWAY! Can you believe it?? My, how time flies. I've been planning SO much. Hopefully it will all be pulled off how I would like it to, despite some drama we have been having. I'm trying to keep out of it but sometimes it's hard. I just always keep in my mind why I'm doing this: I love Tony. I love him with everything I have and no matter how that day goes, the point is that we will be married. And that's worth everything we are going through.
~ Oh and my sister's wedding is this weekend! So it's off to the lake (my favorite place in the world) to celebrate with her and Jack and family and friends :) I'm looking forward to it.
Well that's about it for now. I will try my hardest to update this more often, even if it's random posts about something I have seen or like or a random incident that has occurred.
Peace.
