We just got back from a fun whirlwind of a trip to Durango! We got to do a lot of fun things and spen some quality time with family. Anistynn was a bit more fussy on the flights this time (she is 15 months old now after all and she's quite wiggly!) but we will take advantage of her flying for free for as long as we can (she'll need her own ticket at age 2). We stayed at Ted & Bonnie's house which is always nice. Bonnie had awesome welcome gifts on the bed - some popcorn for Tony and a Reese's tree for me! :) It snowed the day after we got there (and Durango hadnt had ANY snow at that point) so that was cool. I met up with one of my best friends, Allison, and we went to lunch at Steamworks and then saw Playing For Keeps. It was nice to hang out with her. We went to dinner with Ted & Irina at East By Southwest. We went shopping with Bonnie. We got Starbucks. We got hot dogs. Anistynn got an awesome reversible North Face jacket and some sparkly TOMS shoes (plus more books!). We Redboxed movies every night. We saw Santa :) We went to dinner at Ted & Irina's house and Anistynn got to hang out with her cousins, Kemper and Porter. We went to dinner with the whole family at Francisco's. We went to Bill & Susan's house and visited for a while. Overall, it was a pretty great trip! :)
The only negative thing that happened was hearing about the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. I cannot believe that happened and my heart and prayers go out to all the families involved. Hold your children tight, folks.
We also took a couple of videos - the first is Anistynn's excitement over Ted & Bonnie's dog (she loved ALL the animals everyone had!) and the second is cousin fun at dinner with Kemper and Anistynn:
